Leupold comes out with new thermal scope.

  sadly, this isn't a rifle scope to,,, but looks pretty good just for night vision.        I think im going to buy one

Some of those hog-hunting videos on the web show use of these newer thermal-imaging scopes at night.  Ghostly whitish hogs stand out in full contrast against the dark night background.   Excellent targeting aid.




The old Vietnam-era night vision scopes with their eerie green blobby forms were pretty lame in comparison.

These newer scopes are light-years better.

Wouldn'tna been no Gooks in the Wire with these new scopes.   (Maybe layin 'on the ground outside the wire, but not in it.)

Gotta be some way to mount this one on a rifle.   Wonder why Leupold didn't just go ahead and do it:   rings, crosshairs, and all..........

One of the guys from the Grendel board post those night videos with thermal as well, Those are just so cool.  I got to get down there in the future.  Loads of fun. Except for snakes in the warmer months.

Yup, got a friend from up here that goes down there twice a year to hog hunt that says in the warmer months he won't walk where he can't see the ground and the guide won't allow going out without snake boots, and yes also tells me they seek you out if you're stationary for long.  At least with our pits they have a rattle.  I hate that sound.
