Last Honor Flight
« on: May 01, 2017, 07:11:36 AM »
Early this morning the what I am told is the last Honor Flight left for Lincoln with 650+ veterans of the war Vietnam. One of our own, PapaRoche, is on this flight. Although paid for by the Honor flight program, he actually is flying without escort. When asked about his escort at the initial registration his words were, "I don't need help, and this is the last flight, give it to another veteran so they can go too."

I am told the flights are scheduled to start arriving about 8:30 tonight. If you have the time please greet the returning veterans at the Lincoln Airport, at the La Vista Embassy Suites where a good many will be returning an hour later.
