Ok first a clarification from the article, the bill was only removed from the schedule from last MondY and laid over till next year were it will still be up for second reading, it has not been "pulled" which means removed from consideration. There is an amendment being written to address the Sherrifs Organization about carrying firearms into a courthouse ect, something that many are concerned the way the bill is currently worded would be allowed. Senator Hilgers is also taking time to allow Lincoln to voice its concerns and see if there is anything that can be done to make them drop their objections. The Senator has received lots of praise for his patients and working with everyone to get the best possible bill passed, and working with everyone to do this will bring some of the fence sitters on board, without it there will not be enough votes to break Ernie's filibuster. They are working hard to keep the intent as is but yet keep good public safety policies in place. I don't hear a lot of folks here saying they need to carry into court houses, as far as the rest let's see what happens and be ready to address issues as they come up. This bill is moving as it should and the lay over helps us more than hurts.
