The urban senators outvoted the rural senators.  No one mentioned the fact on the Floor that the Omaha rules DO NOT deter crime, just law abiding citizens.  Ernie and the gang has struck again.  The bill will be back next year (60 day session) and hopefully we (all of us) contact your local senator, especially the ones that voted against it and explain how common sense this is.  Remember be respectful and stick to the facts.

Once again the RINO has betrayed us.  We have a two to one ratio of Republicans to Democrats and we still have restrictive, illegal, and downright stupid gun control laws (along with high taxes).  We expect this from the Democrats, but Republicans claim to be better than this.

What patriots should be doing is getting involved in the Republican nomination process and keep these sons of Judas from being nominated.  It looks to me like the Republican Party in this state is a dirty little party that should probably have new leadership.  There just isn't any excuse for this kind of thing when two thirds of the state senators are Republicans.

Somebody over in the Taurus forum believe the problem is that we have the only renaming Unicameral.

Could be right. Maybe another chamber with representation based on counties rather than population would help counteract the urban pansies.

Ok first a clarification from the article, the bill was only removed from the schedule from last MondY and laid over till next year were it will still be up for second reading, it has not been "pulled" which means removed from consideration. There is an amendment being written to address the Sherrifs Organization about carrying firearms into a courthouse ect, something that many are concerned the way the bill is currently worded would be allowed. Senator Hilgers is also taking time to allow Lincoln to voice its concerns and see if there is anything that can be done to make them drop their objections. The Senator has received lots of praise for his patients and working with everyone to get the best possible bill passed, and working with everyone to do this will bring some of the fence sitters on board, without it there will not be enough votes to break Ernie's filibuster. They are working hard to keep the intent as is but yet keep good public safety policies in place. I don't hear a lot of folks here saying they need to carry into court houses, as far as the rest let's see what happens and be ready to address issues as they come up. This bill is moving as it should and the lay over helps us more than hurts.
