time to stop blaming the Gun and blame the dirt bags , criminals and or the crazy mofo's that do the vast majority of the shootings. they do not follow any letter of law. the honest hard working people that own guns are not the ones that are shooting up our citys ....

To those who dance on the graves of the dead and demand an end to my right to be armed I always like to say this:  If you support gun control and have not given up all nonessential driving, among other dangerous activities, you are a hypocrite and a liar.  This should be obvious to any thinking person but since apparently it is not, let me explain the hypocrisy in some detail:

Assuming for the sake of argument the big whopping lie that government disarming its people reduces the people’s risk of untimely death, even the falsely claimed risks of living in a nation where guns are legal are a great deal smaller than risks that are commonly taken by citizens doing common things that are not rights, such as travel by car for example.  If saving lives really was your purpose in supporting gun control, you would have given up all nonessential driving, years ago.  On your own.  You would not have to be told to do it.

You wouldn’t fly either; there are many things you wouldn’t do.  You would avoid all things that are as or more dangerous than living in an armed America.  These things that are within your grasp will without any doubt attain a much greater benefit in reduced risk than even you claim you could get from gun control.  Most travel is not essential to sustain life and you know it.  It might be important to living the lifestyle you want to live, but it is not essential.  It's voluntary.  You can live without it.  And you choose not to.  Every day, you choose to do things that are known to cause a much higher death toll than you claim is caused by American citizens being armed.

The American people, including those who support gun control, have made it clear that they are willing to live with greater risk even than anti-gun bigots falsely claim the right to be armed causes them, in order to do things that are not a right, even though any of them have the power to avoid the risk, on their own, with no new law being passed and without forcing anything on anyone else.

But they don’t.  They willingly and knowingly engage in behavior that is known to kill more people even than the most deceitful anti-gun bigots falsely claim are killed because Americans have the legal right to be armed.  This shows clearly that saving lives is not their purpose and never has been.  Living the way they want to live makes the risk acceptable to them, but those they want to disarm living the way they want to live does not make a much smaller risk acceptable to them.

This is hypocrisy, as pure as it gets.  And when the hypocrisy is stripped away from their propaganda, and the lies are exposed, there is nothing left but intolerance and hate, programmed into fools by those who want power concentrated into the hands of government.  And people being programmed with that sort of thing is why the Constitution was written in the first place.

I would replace "accidental discharge" with "negligent" discharge or "reckless discharge" since they're a result of not following gun safety rules.
