I started a post and invited about 50 friends  on FACEBOOK....not likely i can attend because i am having knee  surgery  on Halloween,  but i might if i am able to walk   ;D

Alright everyone, we need as many of you as possible to help make this a success!

This rally is being set up, grassroots, by people all across the United States. It's not affiliated with any national or state organization.  The purpose of the rally is to show how just common citizens, who believe in the 2nd Amendment can quickly come together and share a unified message, make an impact and peaceably assemble to advocate for firearms freedom.

The rallies across America will be held November 5th from 10 a.m. through 4 p.m. at the Unicameral in Lincoln. The exact location we will meet up at will be announced.
BUT... WE NEED TO KNOW HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE COMING.

We need to know how many we can count on coming out to support the cause!  In the coming weeks, we will post information about signs, speakers, and other details.

Great question... First, we are going to be inviting our 2A supporting Senators to speak... Senator Ebke, Hilgers and Brewer... etc. Hopefully that will also generate press interest. If we can gauge that enough folks will show up, we will do a press release too.

These rallies are being planned in every state on this date. it's not about the Unicameral necessarily, or being seen by Senators.  It's just a good central location.  The grassroots organizers' intent is a nationwide 'show of support'  camaraderie, etc. We thought why not join in. It's been a while and a lot of us are tired of the passive behind the scenes activism and thought to get out there and join in.

The last one of these types of things I attended was a gathering on the corner of 72nd and Dodge.  A bunch of us with posters, waving at drivers and just "spreading the message of support for our right to carry." Totally grassroots, very simple, but a pretty cool experience. 

Lincoln "rallies" are typically done by the Anti's from UNL and NAGV who just show up and make a fool of themselves.  This would be a positive counter to their folly.

Most likely not as time and money are both in high demand and short supply. Perhaps if it snows I would be able to make it.
