Join your fellow firearms owners as they join together at each state capitol across the United States on November 5th!  Be a part of the this grassroots event and demonstrate you are committed to exercising your rights, traditions and freedoms.  In the same way we exercise our 2nd Amendment right, we exercise our 1st Amendment Right: legally, safely, and responsibly. We will be gathering at the West Steps of the Capitol beginning at 12 p.m. and planning to stay through 2 p.m.
We've secured our Permit, PA System, and have invited several speakers!  Stay tuned for more updates!

Looking to find a 2A supporting food truck... any recommendations?

Why does everything we do have to involve eating?  LOL...

I get it, long afternoon... don't know how feasible that is given the location. Do you have any ideas?  Food truck that supports 2A invited?
If you want me to stand around from 10-4, somebody's gotta feed this belly.

For sure! Troop morale wins the war! Any chance the Tasty Trailer is an option? Since I'm not a Lincolnite...

UPDATE...due to parking, restroom requirements, etc.. we've changed the time.  Meet up at 12 NOON. We'll be setting up before then.  Still staying till 2 p.m.

There are 2 churches near the Capitol, so parking will be more difficult in the morning. And the Capitol building is not open until 1 p.m. and no restroom access for that long is a constraint we want to avoid.

Nothing happens when I click on Modify so can't add to my last post.

I have State Senator Matt Hansen liked on Facebook so I can keep track of him. Should I send him an invite to the rally? He's up for reelection. It there's a good turn out maybe he'd stop opposing LB68. On the other hand if there's a poor turn out...

You could try having a conversation with Sen Hansen and see how it goes.  Personally I think he is adamantly opposed to freedom and everything associated with it.  I think he'd rather find ways to screw you than to help you when it comes to gun rights.  I think you would have better luck turning Patty Pansing-Brooks.  But I shouldn't discourage others from trying.  He needs to be pressed, whether anyone thinks it will really work or not.  Maybe someone can get him to understand that being anti gun doesn't play so well at election time.

Speakers so far!

Senator Laura Ebke - original Senator for our efforts for State Firearms Laws Preemption - LB-289 and consistent supporter of effective and constitutionally based firearms legislation

Mr. Dick Clark - Lawyer with the Dick Clark Law Firm, prior NFOA Board Member and Lobbyist

Chris Baker 1110 KFAB - 2nd Amendment advocate and radio personality of the Chris Baker show. Likes to mix the serious with the absurd or as Chris says "it's a mix of the salt and the sugar" sometimes known as "Road Range Relief."

Joe Herring: Author/speaker based in Omaha, Nebraska. His work has been featured by Rush Limbaugh & Mark Levin, among numerous other names and publications of conservative note. He is the Editor & Publisher of readmorejoe.com, where he provides in-depth analysis of many of the issues he researches as an independent policy analyst.  He writes for the American Thinker, the Daily Caller and for the Global Faith Institute.

Travis Potaka - Grassroots advocate for the 2nd Amendment and host of an outdoors, educational firearms YouTube channel called travisp11. Became active in the Pro 2A community within the last decade as rights of gun owners began being more and more restricted on a federal level. It was at that point that the 2A took on a bigger meaning. On his YouTube channel, he promotes and educates followers on the proper and safe use of firearms at the range, and communicates the importance of our firearms rights.

Waiting to hear back from Senator Mike Hilgers, Senator Steve Halloran, Senator Deb Fischer, Congressman Don Bacon, and others..

Parking

Parking may be found on the streets surrounding the Capitol. Longer term parking may be found in the residential areas south of the Capitol. The nearest public parking garage is located at 12th Street (one way north) and L Street (one way west). Accessible parking is available on K Street adjacent to the Capitol’s north entrance.
