Hornady Seating Die Question...

 I’m getting conflicting information on the ‘Custom Grade’ seating die crimp. Is it tapered or rolled? Hornady.com says nothing valuable, others say one or the other.

CtD says it's both!

 Id suggest calling Hornady Monday and asking them,

Why not just put an MT case through the die and check it out?
Use magnifying glass and/or micrometer, if needed.

Thanks both for the advice.  I do plan to call Hornady on Monday.  Good idea, will send an empty one through and see what happens....

If the die is for a revolver cartridge (.38 spl, .357 Mag, .41Mag, .44 Spl, .44 Mag, etc), it will be a roll crimp.
If the die is for a semi-auto cartridge (9x19, .40 S&W, .45 Auto), it will be a taper crimp.
Even better, DON'T seat and crimp in one step--separate them.
Get a Redding Profile Crimp die for roll crimp and a Lee Taper Crimp Die (not necessarily the FCD) for taper crimps.
