As we all here know, if that passes, it will do nothing to solve the problem of "gun free zones". Then when something happens again, they will really be scratching their heads.

and in their lies the problem... our Government leaders have created "death zones" a place where you can't defend your self , not a gun free zone, and are to stupid to see it ... if you were a sheep farmer would you pound "No Wolves Allowed" signs in the ground around your property to protect your flock ? i Know right ... but for some reason our Government leaders would rather do "Something" "Anything" even if it is so wrong and stupid then be seen doing nothing .. why in 1990 did they think that placing "Gun Free Zone" signs across the US schools would do any thing to detour a wack-a-doodle crazy SOB ... from entering with a fire arm. if shooting , killing a helpless kid is not going to stop a crazy person from committing murder. why would you think a 5,000$ fine and a max of 5 years in jail penalty for entering a gun free zone would even slow some one down..

Well said. A feel-good, do-nothing law. Next would be registration (California, anyone?) then confiscation, when the do-nothing law does nothing.
