CMP Rimfire Sporter Competition

This Saturday while thousands of teenage and younger children are being lead in a staged event paid for by the anti-gun left to promote dismantling the 2nd amendment my teenage grandson won't be there. He will be with me shooting in this weekends CMP Rimfire Sporter match at Lincoln Ike's. He and his two brothers are accomplished deer, pheasant and goose hunters. His older brother shoots with me in BPCR Long Range Silhouette as well at Eastern Nebraska GC through the summer. The boys tell me that political indoctrination is a part of life in their schools as they have heard a different story on both guns and national politics at home from me and their parents. I feel that getting your grand kids educated about the real "gun culture" in the US is our only hope of keeping those in our government and schools form transforming this country into another third world utopia. Get them out to the Game and Parks range for air rifle and pistol shooting if  you can. Opportunities for kids are offered by Eastern Nebraska Gun Club, Lincoln Izzak Walton and Nebraska Game and Parks to name a few. We had best be on the move for the next generation because it getting mighty serious on the other side.

My son, along with 1500+ other youth will be shooting trap all over Nebraska. Nice to see the young ladies involved also.

I always wondered if these trap shooters fall for the "indoctrination".

My son's World History class started a chapter on WWII today..... so of course I took him to the range:

hickok45 had a good idea, he said on Saturday if you're not a member of a pro 2nd Amendment group join one, if you are, join another. I'm a member of NRA, GOA and NFOA (joined before I bought my first gun). Saturday I'm going to join 2nd Amendment Foundation.

Old thread, but I didnt' want to start a whole new one just yet. I plan on going to as many of these shoots as I can, and then maybe see if my 12 year old son is interested. He has mentioned trap shooting as well.....

May will be the first one I can attend, due to birthday parties and other family commitments.
