don't forget to email/call/write your State Senator as well.  you know Morfeld will be pushing that this coming session.

I am writing my State Senator but since my Senator is Carol Blood I don’t expect much support.

And I discovered Sasse is being challenged in the primary by Matt Innis (https://mattinnis4senate.com/). His web site says nothing about 2nd amendment rights and he is from Lincoln so I have doubts. But will write him to see what he does, or does not, say. Anyone have any background information on him?

Thank you, SuperHusker.
Here also is a survey from GOA I got via email. They are compiling results and sending these to the Senate Republicans. Please fill out the survey and add comments on the last question!

From his response on Facebook:

--- Quote ---Matt Innis for Senate
Hello, Rick!
I oppose red flag laws. I don’t believe we can put our 2nd Amendment rights in the hands of unelected judges. There is a slippery slope involved with this issue where once you start chipping away at a constitutional right, it becomes easier to take away more and more rights. I do not see how a red flag law would not restrict gun owners’ 2nd Amendment rights.
Thank you for reaching out to me!
Matt

At this point Matt's entire campaign is that Ben Sasse has not been a big Trump supporter, but last election cycle he was a Jane Raybould supporter. First glance has him looking like another Democrat running as a Republican saying what he thinks the Republican base wants to hear so he can get elected.

I have had a long conversation with Ben Sasse about his position on Red Flag laws (sitting down in person face to face without a handeler) and while he feels that there will be a hard push to pass something the only way he will support is if there is a hearing where a person can defend themselves before there can be any confiscation, he also feels that there needs to be treatment for the individual because taking guns away does not stop them from getting a truck or making a bomb or any of the other things that could be done by a person wanting to kill others.
