How long to wait for CCW permit?

Hello! just for a more recent update on the turnaround time. I submitted my application Tuesday, Mar 7. and waited the full 45 days until Friday, April 21.

I called NSP troop-A that day and there was no answer. I left a message asking them to call me back and by the following Monday afternoon, April 24, I had yet to receive a call. I called again and they tell me it had been issued that day (day 48) HOW CONVENIENT!, and to wait for it in the mail.

I just received it in the mail today, Wednesday, April 26.

Renewals are fairly quick.

Mine (second 5-year renewal) went in on April 17 from Troop A.   Came in the mail today, April 26.   Can't holler too much about that arrangement.

And the date of the new CHP began one day following the expiration date of the old CHP.   (I seem to recall a coupla months of paid-up  CHP time being chopped off my first renewal because I renewed coupla months early, but won't swear to it.)

I went in to the Lincoln office at 4 pm on 4/20 and received my permit today 4/27. Same day and month for expiration just for 2022.

Went to NSP on afternoon May 1 to submit paperwork for my CCW renewal...today's mail, May 8 contained the new card.    Seven days turnaround time.   Pleasant experience/nice people out there.

Submitted mine to the Omaha NSP location on May 18th. 

Its been 31 days.  Brother got his in the mail 5 weeks 3 days after he applied back in March.

Hope to have mine sooner than later.

Mine was approved on 6/20.  I am being told that the printer is down for the NSP in Lincoln.  Been out for over a week.  Repair guy has been out and trying to get it up and running.

Second renewal submitted at Omaha NSP on Monday July 10 and arrived in my mailbox Saturday July 15. My initial and first renewal were also submitted through the Omaha NSP and this second renewal was by far the best experience. My wife renewed at the same time and we both were complete in under 10 minutes including fingerprints and photos.

I applied for my CCW permit Jan 3 2020, been 39 days today 2/11/2020.  I called Lincoln NSP CID office to check on the status of the app. I was informed that "it's 45 BUSINESS days and you had better plan to wait the full 45 BUSINESS days). I asked to speak to a supervisor, as I thought it was calendar days. The other female who picked up the line after I was on hold says "we only work M-Friday, anything else?" I ask if she is informing me that 45 calender days is not what the law authorizing CCW intended, and she said "yep".

Is it calendar days or business days?

(3)(b) Beginning January 1, 2010, the permit to carry a concealed handgun shall be issued by the Nebraska State Patrol within forty-five days after the date an application for the permit has been made by the applicant if the applicant has complied with this section and has met all the requirements of section 69-2433.
