Other Firearms that shoot shotgun shells

<< < (2/2)

penname:
I used to have a Charter Arms .44 Special Bulldog 5-shot revolver that I would load with two shot shells when hiking in the rattle snake infested Sierra Nevada mountains in California. Was fairly common practice back then in the late 70’s, early 80’s before anti-gun Californication reached its current peak.

sidearm1:
From Duane Arp, Nebraska Game and Parks, Law Enforcement divisions: "They are different...our approach has been since it is not classified as a legal shotgun we treat them as a non-hunting weapon that would require a shotgun for legal method of take ex:pheasant quail, waterfowl (game birds) etc.  We do not regulate methods of take on rabbits or squirrels."

You will need to make your own assumption on the legality of carrying a loaded chamber, you will find law enforcement that will not understand this and think shotgun shell equals shotgun.
