Sort of a mirror image of what happened in Omaha, where Scurlock's shooter was first given a clean pass, then pulled back into the grand jury system.

If you exercise your right to self-defense, you can figure on being jerked around a whole lot more than a wild carnival ride.

One interesting thing I noted in the New Mexico case, is that the guy filming the incident immediately shouted "Get his license plate!" after the shooting.  His first instinct was to record the license plate of the guy's vehicle, not to call the police or for an ambulance.  And the guy was clearly not running away, so it couldn't be to ensure he was caught by police.  Personally, I question whether that was because they plan retribution for the shooting.  If I were him, I'd be prepared for a mob to come assault him at his home.
