Please read ( State of Nebraska vs Joie H ) to put this in context. She is appealing her conviction on attempted car theft charges because the conviction denied her the right to bear arms The Jury aspect is just a red herring since she was adjudicated in juvenile court, which makes it a civil matter and not a criminal matter. The Court opinion states that they based their decision on a Federal Supreme Court Decision.
