Small potatoes money wise in the ransomware world, around $1.19 million retail at 17 cents a round at inflated prices for non interceptor 22lr.
Thieves thought they were hijacking center fire ammo?
GreyGeek:
Aquila is presently selling for between 14c to 26c per round of .22LR, depending on the type.
That's about $980K to $1.8M on the US market. Certainly small potatoes for drug cartels.
That said, a .22LR machine gun, like what Daisy showed off several years ago in a video that cut a car in half, would make a potent weapon until they run out of ammo. Daisy's 1,500 rpm would eat that 7M up in about 78 minutes of continuous fire. That assumes, of course, that the reload crew could keep up.
