Customer Shoots Robber in Drug Store???

A robbery at a Benson drug store turned to gunfire Monday night. One person is in critical condition. One witness says the victim is one of the robbers.

It happened just before 9pm at the Walgreen's at 61st and NW Radial Highway. Omaha police say shots were fired and one person was taken to Creighton University Medical Center in critical condition.

One witness at the scene said two armed men walked into the Walgreen's. One of them had a shotgun and one of the customer ended up confronting them. The customer also had a gun.

Wonder if WOWT can't tell the difference between criminals and victims?

I hate to hear of anyone getting shot, but it's an occupation hazard if you choose to take money by force.

Police today said a customer fatally shot a would-be robber Monday evening at a busy Walgreens Pharmacy at 6101 Northwest Radial Highway.

I hate it for whoever it was that had to do the shooting as their life will never be the same, but glad it turned out the way it did and no innocent bystanders were hurt.

Chalk one up for the good guys.
