Information needed on case law

I'm looking for any past cases where in a defensive shooting (either civilian or law enforcement) that an innocent bystander or party was killed or wounded. Were there any civil or criminal law suits filed? If there are any in Nebraska I'd like to get some information about them so I can research the outcome. My curiousity stems from statute 28-1414. Was this statute recently repealed in LB 889?

I can not think of any cases, but since 889 did not move out of committee it did not repeal 28-1414, though it would have if it had passed.
