UPDATED: 11:45 am CDT July 23, 2010

OMAHA, Neb. -- Police said a drunken driver hit a motorcyclist in north Omaha on Friday morning and then fled.

Shae Minor, 24, of Council Bluffs, has been charged with his second DUI, leaving the scene of a personal injury accident and willful reckless driving.

Investigators said 42-year-old Todd McCarty was heading north on 30th Street on a Victory motorcycle when a Jeep Liberty pulled in front of him after ignoring a stop sign at Burt Street.

McCarty suffered a broken pelvis and broken elbow, police said.

Minor fled the scene and then hit two other vehicles before police caught up to him, investigators said.

Today, we need a nation of Minutemen, citizens who are not only prepared to take arms, but citizens who regard the preservation of freedom as the basic purpose of their daily life and who are willing to consciously work and sacrifice for that freedom.   J. F. K.

I sent a message to a mutual friend (and fellow DJ), I'll let you know what I find out.
