Military rifle match
« on: June 15, 2010, 06:34:31 PM »
Would anyone in the Lincoln area be interested in a military rifle match?  I'm thinking of something that's limited to bolt action surplus rifles, possibly shooting out to 300 meters.  I know everyone has an old Mosin or Mauser stashed in a closet somewhere so I'm thinking we could easily get enough people if the interest is there.  Apparently a while back there was some talk of starting one at the Ike's range, but no one wanted to run it.  When it comes to clunky old military rifles I have "sucker" printed across my forehead, so I volunteered.  I even have a couple extras I could loan out if someone needs one.

Depending on the date, I might be interested, and a friend of mine, who's collection I've been slowly aquiring, would probably be interested , too.

I'm actually hoping we'll get this set up to be a fairly regular thing.  Maybe monthly, if there's enough interest and depending on how the range schedule looks.
