Douglas, 18, pleaded guilty Tuesday to attempted robbery and no contest to weapon use for his role in the crime. He will be sentenced in February. He faces six to 70 years in prison.

Douglas? friend, Marquail Thomas, 18, was killed by Harry J. McCullough III, 32, after Thomas pointed an unloaded shotgun at a woman inside the store. McCullough then chased down Douglas and held him until police arrived.  Douglas and Thomas were known gang members.

Well that probably saved the taxpayers some money. Maybe he wants to get his sentance going as soon as possible while he is still young.
A sad tale for all involved...

The funny thing is, that gang initiation will be easy compared to his prison initiation. All Aboard! Choo Choo!

The good thing is, Mr. McCullough won't have to keep living this every day now. Maybe he will get the handgun back soon.

I wouldn't count on that happening any time soon...   ::)

He will get it back 30 days after the sentencing on Feb 11th. He has been in contact with the County Attorneys office, and they appear to be cooperating

And they just have to point out that the shotgun was unloaded...

Yea, because we can all tell that at a glance when it's being pointed at us or someone else...

Perhaps they could include a sub section in the castle doctrine that say you have a duty to ask if the gun is loaded or does the knife have a sharp blade.
Sorry, just venting. I hope that with the help of the NFOA and a few good Senators we can get something passed this year.
