Bruning Wants "Tougher Gun Laws"
« on: January 07, 2009, 08:58:09 AM »
According to KETV news this morning, AG Jon Bruning plans to push for "tougher gun laws" this legislative session.

He also questioned security at the capitol building after he had sworn LEO's bring in unloaded "assault weapons" wearing gun locks as "props" to show "the kind of fire power gang members are reported to be carrying these days." Nobody stopped his known investigators from bringing in the guns he ordered them to supply, so he claims that means security is lax.

Please note that he never said the so-called "assault weapons" in question had been recovered from gang members or had ever been used in a gang-related crime.

Suit up, people. Here it comes.

I don't want any of this garbage ruling to come any more than the rest of us.  It will be interesting to watch...for the time being.  But then what if it does come?  What can we do?  According to DanW's thread, the make-up of the Judiciary Committee is "ifee" at best.
