Chris there is an entire gaggle of CLEOs who can sign, up to the head of state patrol, judges, on and on.  A person just has to not take a no so quickly and put in the effort to make the connections needed.

So I should send my paperwork to Terry Wagner and he might sign it?

Makes me feel like I'm 12 again.. Mom said no BMX'ing in the house so I went and asked Dad.  (who said it sounded cool)

I don't know alot about Sheriff Wagner, but did have a nice conversation him last year after a Judiciary Committee hearing where he testified in favor of a pro-gun bill. I don't recall the specific bill, but he spoke very much like he supported gun ownership both in front of the committee and with me

i asked (through email) a couple years ago to Wagner and Cassidy.  i was shot down by both.  trust is much better.  but i still don't like the part where the LEO's might be able to know where those guns/weapons are.

Any updates to this topic?  I haven't heard anything on any other gun related websites and was just wondering if there was any news to report.

It has been almost a year and I wanted to know any updates.

I was using the search function to determine if anyone has asked the Lancaster county sheriff to do the CLEO sign off, and then I found this thread.  Seems like there was some talk of the CLEO signoff being eliminated, but then this thread died.

SO, my two questions are:

1 is the cleo signoff still necessary?

2 has anyone asked Wagner to signoff?  He seems pretty gun friendly.

thanks

I carry a gun because a cop is too heavy.  I carry a lot of ammo because I cant run very fast.

The signoff is still necessary.  My understanding is Wagner will not sign out of deference to LPD.

Unless of course a Trust owns it, then no sign off needed

Its my understanding that it is pretty common knowledge that there is no love lost between the LSO and LPD.  (Is is no love or no love lost??? - Either way, I hear that they dont like either very much...)

Not doubting you BK, just wondering if anyone here has first hand knowledge of specifically being denied by Sheriff Wagner.
