Couple of nice clean rifles you've got there. Looks like you've got your sling on backwards though. ;D

That looks almost exactly like the sporterized Argy my dad has. I used it last year to take a buck after I discovered my eyes weren't good enough anymore to use iron sights in low light and had to ditch my first rifle choice. I've been trying to buy it from him for years.

Thanks guys. The sling was put on by my grandfather, who passed it to my father prior to his passing. When I got it from my father, i just decided to leave it. It still shoots great, just trying to account from the unpredictability of the surplus loads is a pain. Farthest I've ever lobbed one was using handloads at she laid out a 3 inch pattern at a little over 250-ish yards.
Haven't had a chance to shoot the m44 yet, but i was pleased to note that the monte carlo stock has a buit in recoil pad lol.:) That should come in handy with the 250 rounds I got when i bought the rifle last week. It somehow feels heavier than the other m44 i had, not sure if that is the stock or if it's just been awhile since i carried one. Probably a bit of both.
I may bring one down to the next Ike's match, I have access to a little used runway down south where i do most of my shooting. I should be heading down there next weekend.
By the way,I plan on attending, in an observatory fashion, on saturday. Look forward to seeing some of you guys there.

3" at 250 yds. sounds like she shoots pretty good. That's just over 1 MOA. You might be able to hold a little tighter if you turn the sling around and use the leverage it provides. Maybe. At 1 MOA there's not much room for improvement. Good Shootin!
