Member meeting Oct 15th
« on: August 06, 2011, 10:55:14 AM »
...at Ikes in Lincoln.
   That's all I know.
Who's in charge of this? How can I help if I don't know what's needed?
What festivities are planned? Is it true all board members will make pirate hats out of tin foil and wear them? Are we gonna have fun? What weapons can we bring and how much ammo is enough? Who all is going to be there?
I'm about out of questions for now...hehe,  RJ

What weapons can we bring and how much ammo is enough?

The Ikes range allows anything except full auto and .50 BMG.  As for how much ammo, can you ever have enough?  :D

Sorry for the late response here.  Still trying to firm things up, but here is what we have so far.   Any suggestions and thoughts are welcome.

Date:  Saturday October 15th

Location: Lincoln Ike's

Registration and some shooting events in the morning.  Trying to get a poker shoot setup.  Anyone with experience running an event willing to help run this?

Lunch will be potluck.  I'd like to setup a way for people to sign up and mention what they plan to bring so we can insure a good variety.

We are working on getting guest speaker(s), right after lunch.

Then our meeting will begin around 2:00pm

I will get more details added as they are confirmed.  Again, any input is welcome

Thanks,

Rod

Rod, I should be able to help run any shooting events.  I'm an RO at the Ikes.

I think a rimfire event of some sort would be fun, maybe something timed for rifle/pistol like they do for the Ruger Rimfire Challenge.  That would be a good way to get kids involved.

Any chance of a plate challenge for the grownups?  I haven't had my butt whooped since robertH came out to the vintage match, i might be getting a little cocky.:)
It is highly likely the above post may offend you. I'm fine with that.
