Hello All

Wildgoose:
This is my first post on this forum. For the past few years I have been into home building AK platform weapons. One of which I did as an SBR NFA project. I am interested in a little back and forth on the NFA side of things with anyone in the area that is into the same game. I really dont have any idea as to how many NFA oweners are around in these parts. All of my information and interaction has been on the  various firearm forums out on the net so far. That is how I found out about home building and got started in the hobby. Any takers?

Dan W:
Welcome to the forum .

I am not an NFA guy, but if you are patient someone will be along to join you.

Thanks for joining the NFOA

David Hineline:
While AKs don't do much for me. There are plenty of NFA owners in Nebraska but we are spread wide from Iowa to Wyoming so get togethers only happen a couple times a year with smallish turnouts.

Wildgoose:
Thanks for the note Dave. I was interested in just where the NFA scene was here in the midwest. The AK building is by far only a small part of my firearms and shooting interests but did lead me to become the owner of an NFA weapon. Up to now contact or discussion with other owners has been with floks that live in very diffrent areas than here. Any concerns, issues or advice based on Nebraska laws if I were to desire to expand my NFA ownership?

David Hineline:
No NFA problem areas here in Nebraska except Lincoln/Lancaster Co. residents ususally have to go the trust or Corporate route  as for adjacent states KS is good to go for NFA now, silencers are legal for hunting in NE, if you want got MO you must at least have a C+R license, no playing with any stuff in Iowa, Wyoming and Co both ok.

Last year the Kearney shoot went for 1 day after a few years off, I hope it goes back to it's old glory.  There are some FUDD ranges that have problems with NFA.  We do have an IPSC style subgun match in the Scottslbuff area in June.

You can goto my website and pick up a lot of NFA information in general off the web.  http://myweb.cableone.net/uziforme/index.htm
