Most of you might have already read this, but i am sure glad to see that there are some non elitist LEO brass out there willing to stand up and publicly say it. Ladies, defend yourselves, they can't be everywhere. See story below.

RJ, I have a feeling New Jersey might be a tougher sell that South Carolina.  Not that she doesn't deserve protection, but a Sherriff saying such a thing in Jersey just might cause a real uproar.
So my advice is:  GO FOR IT!

Video on this local report: http://www.wyff4.com/news/29638219/detail.html

We need more in law enforcement like this Sheriff.

EDIT: Crash is going to be discussing this on KFAB shortly.

Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.

Crash Davis is on KFAB 1110AM from 4-7 pm now.  Also on saturday mornings from 10-11am for the Ultimate outdooor show when not pre-empted by Husker pregame shows.

He's been a VERY good friend to the NFOA.   ;D

Hi Jeremy. She and I are both aware of NJ's ridiculous stance on 2nd amendment rights. Just a little thought provoking ammo for her to spread around, hehheh. RJ

WOW, thanx Rick, I finally took a few moments to watch the video.  I like this Sheriff! Just plain speakin. Tell it how it is, and how he feels. No sugar coatin it, no political flip flop.  I would elect him in a heartbeat!  Heck let's write him in for president!

RE: plainspokenness-

Say what you mean, mean what you say.  Refreshing in these times of PC and Spin.
The Right to Keep and BEAR Arms is enshrined explicitly in both our State and Federal Constitutions, yet most of us are afraid to actually excercise that Right, for very good reason: there is a good chance of being arrested........ and  THAT is a damned shame.  III.

Unfortunately, it won't take long for the mainstream media to denounce him.  On a positive note, it's good to see this man stand up and speak out.

There are still some good lawmen out there.  We are blessed to have a good common sense sheriff in York County.
