Mud,  Not sure if you are pasting this with quotations around the URL, but when I try to see what isn't working, there are two things I notice.  1) The http:// reference is doubled, as mentioned previously  and 2) your URL is in quotes

If I try posting without quotes, I can get it to work

That doesn't seem to answer the question of "what is different with the software here vs other boards you are posting to", but is some information for you to work with, fwiw.
