So---Where's the Crime????

All Right Now..........

For all the NFOA Forum CHP Members who don't want to CCW all the time,

Here's how you can check where the crime is happening in Nebraska [and what kinda crime] before you leave the house:

http://www.crimemapping.com/

Maybe just carry that teeny Beretta 21-A instead of that big heavy Kimber Gold Match II.

Good Luck.......

Also, for Android system users, you can download an app for free called "P3i"  This is only used in the city of Lincoln now, however, as it was developed by LPD and UNL.  When Cassidy was COP he blogged about this software.  It's actually pretty handy.  It would be like crimemapping.com (which I also use on my home computer) but instead of being tied to a radius around your home or address of choice, P3i will use the GPS feature of your smartphone and you can see police reports around wherever you happen to be in Lincoln.

That P3i would be pretty cool if I only had a smart phone (mine doesn't even know my own number :().  I do use the crimemapping software to keep appraised of what's going on in my vicinity (mostly shopplifting and gas driveoffs).  Still, there are breakins and such that it's good to know about, too.

I get mostly stuff from Lincoln Southwest.  I tell you what, there is a thriving iPod black market at that school.

Good to know.  I start teaching drivers education there on Friday.  Too bad I can't show the students the best places in their cars to carry a handgun!  :)
