I was appalled when it happened (2008), and remember thinking, "Why not just be a bad guy?" The only thing they can't legally do is own a gun, and if that is the case, just ignore the law, because..... well, you're a bad guy, right? No rules, and plenty of benifits, if you know how to work the system.....
...alas, try as I might, I'm just a Good Guy...... can't help it.
Also, when I went looking for the links, I found that much of the debate about it at the time had mysteriously dissapeared from the Internetz ...... I had to go to a convict support site to find the info...
