Jon Bruning supported the appointment of Eric Holder

Well guys (FarmerRick & HuskerFan) I have to apologize to you for chastising you. We really should vote principle and not for "winnability". Having said that: Two weeks or three weeks ago I really started doubting and mistrusting Jon Bruning once he was called on the fact that he supported Eric Holder. His response was something to this extent: "Well lets admit that he would have gotten the nomination anyway". After I heard that I thought: Wow at least he could have owned up and admitted he made a mistake, yet he didn't. That was what got the dominoes falling for me. I made up my mind one week before the election and am glad to say that I voted for Deb Fischer on Tuesday :)

And its funny but already she is polling better against Kerrey than Jon Bruning ever did. Rasmussen did a poll on Wednesday the day after the election and Fischer gets 56% against Bob Kerrey with 38%

We do still however have a chance to take the Senate back from the Democrats. I think our chances of winning Democrat seats in Montana, Nevada, Wisconsin, and Missouri are good. Then there's Virginia & Massachusetts where its a dead heat. If we hold all our seats (and the chances of that are good) and hold onto Massachusetts and win those 4 above and also Virginia we would have 51.
Thats if the election goes well for Republicans. I think we have a really good chance of gaining at least one or two seats in the Senate for sure.

Heres a state by state map so u can see whats going on in regards to Senate Control. You can click on each state to see the polling.

Husker_Fan:
Fischer has a better chance of beating Kerrey than Bruning would have.  Bruning has a history that would get beaten up in a contested election.  Fishcer, on the other hand, has a very clean background as far as I know.

Besides, the week of free, national media she's gotten will help a bit with that name id.

Roper:
Deb's name recognition can go up if we all keep talking about her with others and individually ( NFOA can't) support her campaign.
