Question regarding ticket and concealed carry
« on: March 23, 2012, 04:53:35 PM »
I received a ticket from a conservation officer for having a loaded shotgun in my pickup. I know, I know, that's against the law in NE, but I did not know it at the time. I also know that is no excuse, and I'm not making one. I did it, I got the ticket, I paid the fine.

My question is this - does that ticket prohibit me from obtaining a concealed carry permit in Nebraska? If so, will LB807 "fix" this problem for me?

Thank you for your time.

005.01H Have had no violations of any law of this state relating to firearms, unlawful use of a weapon, or controlled substances or of any similar law of another jurisdiction in the ten (10) years preceding the date of application;

Taken from page 4 of the link

I am very certain this will infringe on CCW if this was in the last 10 years.

Throw lawyer money at it, make it change into something not firearm related.

Todd you paid the fine, that means you were "convicted" so no 807 does not "fix" it for you.
