I am still waiting to hear back from the national organization on this. They have been silent so far, and I am hoping this is because they are working up a lawsuit. The empty holster is protected as symbolic speech as determined by a federal court. The university does not have a legal leg to stand on.

Buckeyes for Concealed Carry is not affiliated with the national students for concealed carry. Given the high level of controversy surrounding the Trayvon Martin case, and it's involvement in this situation, the national organization is declining to get involved.

Very interesting observation.  It never ceases to amaze me that they can just draw on this man- "under the law"- for peacefully standing there.
