Cowboy Mounted Shooting

Yeah they are usually just blanks, the gun powder flash will pop the baloon. 
I think I did hear about some sort of version using walnut shells?  maybe that was quick draw or something.
I was trying to talk another member into that sport.  She loves/ has horses and loves her revolvers, seems like a perfect mix to me..  ;)

Yep, black powder does the trick.  Went to a clinic and shoot today, what a blast!  Kind of like what NE Bull said - perfect mix for those who love firearms and horses.
