You bet. Figure at least 3-5 days for mail, that means turnaround is only about 55 days.

Which is funny, because another member applied before me and has yet to recieve his.

I spoke with the Governor last night, face-to-face about the problem. He was the Headlining speaker at our Washington County Republican Convention last night.

I explained that the State Patrol is not obeying the law, he said that he'd "look into it".

Not sure it will do any good, but we shall see.

Official envelope arrived today !!! 66 days from submission of paperwork ...

I applied for a first time CHP in Lincoln this week. They said I should expect to wait 60 days.

Do not wait 60 days.
At or slightly before day 45, call and check on the status. They'll tell you it isn't ready. Schedule a time on day 46 or so to go pick up your permit. And remember... calendar days, not business days.

I just applied today. Nicole in Lincoln helped me (and was very friendly and, aside from the $100 out of my pocket, she made it totally painless). She said that they just recently came back within the 45 day mandate and seemed genuinely pleased to report this. It sounded like they had worked real hard to get that done.

She didn't tell me a number, but seemed to indicate I should expect mine back within the 45 day time period in the law.

Also, she said she had an influx of applicants today (around 10 to 12 new applications, by noon, when I applied), so she wasn't sure if that would have an affect on my timeline.

Anyway, a big thanks to Nicole @ the NSP and here's hoping the long waits are over.

23 DAYS!!!!

Took Roger and Chris's class on June 2 in Lincoln. Applied on June 6 in Lincoln. The permit arrived today in the mail on calendar day 23! They are doing much better!!!

I also took Chris & Roger's class 6/2/12, applied at the Lincoln NSP Criminal Identification Office 6/8/12 PM, permit arrived today 7/3/12...25th calendar day after application.

Hopefully mine was delivered to Lincoln if it was completed. I took the June 24th class and applied 8am the next morning, I changed my address with the postal service to my parents house this week and really hope it gets forwarded here. If it isn't here in Columbus tomorrow I will have to make a trip to Lincoln to start cleaning out my apartment and hopefully find it in the mail there... Didn't expect it for a couple weeks so I haven't broken down and ordered the Minotaur MTAC holster I want yet... BTW does anybody have experience with that holster?

Applied on 06/29/12, issued on 07/13/12. I count that as 14 days! Thank you NSP!
