Multigun Match tomorrow, April 15th
« on: April 14, 2012, 04:13:51 PM »
What better way to spend "The Government is taking your Money" day than by shooting several different guns in competition?!

Plus, this is the John Mark Memorial Match, so show up to shoot and buy a couple of raffle tickets to win stuff.  (The proceeds all go to the NFOA, and since I'm not a board member or anything, I can tell you all to go buy lots. :) )

Yes, there is probably going to be a little rain tomorrow.  Don't be a big baby, your guns will still shoot just fine.  C'mon out and shoot!

We'll start setting up stages at 7:15am or so, registration ends at 8:40am, safety/new shooter briefing is at 8:40am, and the shooter's meeting (with shooting starting right after) at 9am.

Four stages with varying amounts of pistol, shotgun, and rifle shooting.  Bring plenty of ammo.  (For once, I don't know who is building what stage, so I can't give you a breakdown of what guns are on what stages.)

See you at ENGC for the match!

I have...

  • 140 shot shells
  • 850 rounds of pistol ammo
How much of my supplies should I bring?

Thanks,

All of them!

Not really.  :)  I bring about 200 of each to the match, and I always take a bunch home.  (Actually, I normally load up my mags and shellholders, and then ALSO bring 200 more of each to the match because I overdo it.)

Match results are up!

43 people came out and had a good time.  (Even shooting that spinner.)  Next time, YOU should try it.  :)

Couple of videos from the match:

Here is Ardena shooting the pistol-only stage:

Here's one version of how all the stages could be run:

(This was not necessarily the BEST way to do it, I'll note.  [sigh] It would have been a lot better if I could have hit the flying clays.  I really need to practice those, because I missed them both.  I've never actually shot flying clays outside of a Multigun match.)

I had a great time shooting the 3 gun.
It was my very first time shooting one and I had a blast. We need more of these. :)
Thanks for having me!!!

Oh, I hit both clays. :O)
