Anybody able to identify this? Posted in an Audio forum as part of a story and I was curious as  to what it was.  Thanks in advance, RJ

SVD Dragunov with standard looking PSO glass. Soviet "sniper" rifle. Weapon of choice for the TB, AQI and JAM fighters that call themselves "snipers."

Several different variations there of. This one seems to have a fully integrated suppressor. Glass appears to be standard, but there are several variations of that as well.

SVD's don't have magwells like that.  Seems more like a HK 91 magwell.

Looks like a photoshop-created gun to me.

This is an SVD:

Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.

The magwell on the SVD does seem to be farther forward of the trigger guard.

I got nothin' else.

It's a VSS Vintorez.  Integrally suppressed, select fire, used by Russian Special Forces.  I would trade a kidney for one.

It fires a 7.62x39 case necked up to 9mm.  I believe subsonic performance is very similar to a .300 Blackout.

Cool.  I guess I need to take a stroll through world.guns.ru more often.

I'll take 2, please.   8)

Yeah, you can definitely see the SVD influence in the design.  When you actually see a picture of a guy holding one they're absolutely tiny, though, unlike the Dragunov:

That is one nifty little gun.  Ok, now I want one.  Thanks a lot, folks.
