USPSA Pistol match, June 3rd at ENGC
« on: May 24, 2012, 09:21:21 AM »
Due to the fact that the Great Plains Sectional has been canceled (due to range issues in Sioux City :( ) the Eastern Nebraska Practical Shooters have decided to hold a normal monthly match on June 3rd.

So:  USPSA action pistol match, 5 stages, one of which will be a classifier.  Show up at 7:30am to help set up and walk the stages a bit, registration ends at 8:40, the new shooter briefing starts at 8:40, and the shooter's meeting is at 9:00 after which we start blasting away.

Load up some ammo, get a little practice in, and we'll see you on the range!

Held at the Eastern Nebraska Gun Club  http://www.engc.us
Hosted by the Eastern Nebraska Practical Shooters:  http://easternnebraskapracticalshooters.com

Note:  Everyone is welcome to come watch the match, and no, you don't need to be a member of ENGC to either watch or participate.  For shooters, the match fee is $18, no cost to stand and watch.  :)

Feel free to come and ask questions about what the shooters are doing---pretty much everyone is more than happy to talk guns, equipment, and stage techniques!

Any information on what the stages will be?  I couldn't find anything on the ENPS.  Thought I might set up some stages in my back yard and practice.  ;D

No idea!  Nope, none at all.

Mostly, people volunteer to set up stages, and until the actual morning of the match, we have no idea what they are going to be like.

It IS true that just this once, we do know which classifier it is going to be, plus we know the Nick and Sherwyn are bringing down their swinging Texas Star (which is probably the most evil idea I've heard of this year).

...but you are going to have to wait until the match to actually see the stages.  I do note that people who show up early to help set up get a much better idea of what the stages are like, and how to shoot them.  :)

The swinging Texas star was terrible.

The swinging Texas star was terrible.

Seriously, it was the most evil idea I'd seen this year so far.  I'm hoping nothing tops it.  :(
