That holster seems better suited for the range than daily carry. Oh well, good for her!

Just curious, what makes you think it's not suitable for open carry but suitable for the range?

Not cocked and locked, muzzle about to shoot her in the hand.  His comment about that type of holster is zero retention and any passer by can snatch the gun.

Totally staged, what time of day can you take a picture in WalMart and only show 2 people in an aisle?

Amazing.  You HAVE to carry it loaded, cocked and locked?  What happened to carrying with an empty chamber, hammer down.  The Israelis seem to do well that way.  Shoot her hand, then I am going to have to get rid of my IWB holster because if the safety fails, I will shoot myself in the leg.

Let's keep an open mind.  The positive, whether it is staged or not, is that it is showing open carry in a large store.  (By the way, I was in The Big Box store at 0130, and there was only the stockers there.  I guess, a Lady wouldn't shop at night.)

Remember there are more ways than one to carry a firearm.  If she isn't comfortable cocked and locked, then that should be HER priority, not someone who maybe uses a weapon full time or not.

Oh while I am thinking of it, I usually train up to 200 staff members per year with firearms, and some years more.

Leaving out my opinion on whether it is a good choice of holster, it does look like a SERPA holster, so there is more than passive retention.

Agreed about the cocked and locked, which tells you something about the person both carrying and behind the camera.

Disagree about the "muzzle about to shoot her in the hand"---aren't all belt holsters (unless they are drop-leg) like that?  Unless we are talking about IWB, whereupon our hands aren't what is being muzzled?

Is that a Serpa holster?  If so, retention isn't so much an issue.

I carry a gun because a cop is too heavy.  I carry a lot of ammo because I cant run very fast.

Must be one of the Yuppy Walmarts. Look she has Yogurt and Fruit juice.  WHAT?  NO BACON!!!!???  What kind of staged honky is this??!!!

I would much rather carry in my Fobus than my Kholster. more comfortable, same amount of retention. But the Fobus is just harder to conceal. Actually I carried that way for the first winter, then move IWB come spring.  With the Serpa 'lock button' there should be no question as to retention.
As for cocked n locked.  who cares?  Look, here is an older woman who obviously has decided to NOT BE A VICTIM, of violence OR obesity OR diegestive trac issues.  Just that beautiful weapon being open carried by such a woman shall itself ward off any doers of evil.

Well, if it is a Serpa then she's about to be shot in the leg, not the hand.

Oh as for why there is no one else in the aisle?  There's a Freekin' Lady With A Gun!  That's why.  They have all ran and hid behind the pomegranate and kiwi and are dialing 911 to report a WWG! There others are berating the store owner on why that 'thing' was allowed into the store and that they DEMAND one of those little 'no gun allowed signs' be installed at the front doors, so that this scary situation will never happen again.
As for the fella in the background?  He is an active NFOA member about to ask her to coffee and if she has heard about the NFOA and that we would be appreciate her membership and input.  He just had to run back to his car to find a pamphlet, you can see it in his hand.

Of course it very well could be staged.  I mean who the heck really eats bagels?  :P

It's from all over, not original to that evil website.

Perhaps the woman is in California which only allows unloaded open carry.

Ahhh good!  Glad to know it was not initially propaganda from an anti-gun organization.  Though they are sure trying to turn it into a negative.  Who would have guessed.
