(1/1)
camus:
Anybody want to elaborate on this match?
Like what stages etc? The ENPS just links you to the NRA Action Pistol pdf which is a bit long and dry.

Here is some information that used to be on our sight. I normally run these, but unfortunately I've been very ill for several months so things were deleted not knowing if we would have any this year. I'll have some help for this match. Bianchi is a timed, limited number of shots match from varying distances. This is some basic info. Most people use center-fire, but we also do .22. Normally .22 needs holsters and safetys, but this time we will use steel challenge rules on the .22 only, low ready, safety off, finger out of trigger to see if we get some more interest. Matches currently are not sanctioned. Lot of the safety rules are same as USPSA. Feel free to call me if you need more info.
You will need a holster which covers trigger, mag carriers of some type are best, and for most of it at least 2 magazines per position. Mags can be reloaded between positions if necessary. This is our 2nd year trying this type of competition. Match fees are $15. More information can be found at http://www.nrahq.org/compete/RuleBooks/Action/act-book.pdf
There are also many videos on You-tube if you do a little searching.
The 3 events planned at this time are the Barricade, falling plate, and the Los Alamitos. We may try the Practical as well if time and/or interest allows. Pistol bays 5-6-7 are being used if necessary. (The Practical goes out to 50 yards).
The barricade event has you shooting from behind barricades at 10/15/25/35 yards. There will be 2 targets downrange. Course of fire is 6 shots only from left side to left target for 1 string, 6 shots only from right side to right target for 2nd string at each distance within a time frame. Time increases for distance. 5 seconds 10 yards, 6 seconds 15 yards, 7 seconds 25 yards, 8 seconds 35 yards. Total of 480 possible points.
The falling plate event is shot a 6 - 8” plates from 10/15/20/25 yards. 1 round at each plate only, run twice at each distance. Time is 6 seconds each string 10 yards, 7 seconds at 15 yards, 8 seconds at 20 yards, and 9 seconds at 25 yards. Total points 480 possible.
Los Alamitos Pistol Match - This course is divided into five stages for a total of 42 shots fired at 7, 10, and 25 yards, total of 420 points.
(a) 7 yards - 2 1/2 seconds for each of three strings 2 shots per string, on one each of three targets per string.
(b) 7 yards - 5 seconds 6 shots, 2 shots at each of 3 targets.
