Cabela's can limit how much ammo you buy
bk09:
Saw a sign in the reloading component section of the LaVista Cabela's the other day saying they reserve the right to deny selling bulk components or ammunition to people. Not sure how long that has been there but this is really deterring me from giving them my business. Does anybody know if this was up before the Colorado shooting?
Hermit:
Yes, I remember seeing the sign, before Aurora, and I've never had a problem buying ammo there. Of course, I'm not buying massive (1000+ rounds) amounts of ammo from there, but several hundred in various calibers has never been a problem.
bkoenig:
I believe most retailers started with these policies after the ammo panic of 2008. It's not about them not trusting you, they just don't want one person buying out the store.
bk09:
Glad to see it isn't a response to Aurora. Guess I can give them my business again since Scheels doesn't carry Lee dies...
jonm:
If you are buying in bulk at cabelas, you are grossly overpaying anyway.
