THE ONE THAT GOT AWAY:
My Uncle Bud [aka Woodrow Wilson Flowers] owned a Generation I Colt Woodsman of John Browning Design.
He kept it in pristine 99.9%+ condition. He was that kind of obsessive guy. [He polished his 1946 Plymouth until the primer paint showed on the fender. ]
Uncle Bud promised the Woodsman to me as part of his Final Will ever since I was a Little Kid [which has indeed been some time ago.] I patiently watched Uncle Bud like a Death Valley buzzard while he got older and older. And waited for The Day.
Then Uncle Bud got into some Kind of Fit with a neighbor, chased him down the street [best as he could] with the Woodsman, and the Blue Suits came.
And took my Woodsman with them.
So much for being of Scots-Irish ancestry. They are known for their volatility. Probably shouldn't own guns.
Pity.
