Steel Challenge Match on Aug 19th...

Just a quick note to remind folks that ENPS will be holding a Steel Challenge match at the Eastern Nebraska Gun Club on Sunday, August 19th.

As always, match setup and registration starts at around 7:30am, registration ends at 8:40 (new shooter briefing at that time), shooter's meeting starts at 9am, and we start shooting right after that.

6 official Steel Challenge stages, minimum (if you are perfect) of 150 rounds.  (That's a hint to bring more.  I've certainly never had a perfect match, nor have I ever seen one!)

$15 for the match.  See you there!

It ends when everyone is done shooting and everything is put away.  Generally around 12-1, depending on how many shooters there are.

We are working on making an "Intro to Steel Challenge" video for ENPS so that people get a solid idea about what SC matches are about, what gear you need, and what skills are necessary.  It isn't ready yet, but it's coming.

Remember, folks---if you aren't ready for a "draw from the holster" match, then bring a .22 rimfire and shoot it that way!  .22 starts in your hands pointed downrange, so you don't have to draw.  (And there are no reloads on the clock.)

Yep, 72 today!  Six stages, six squads, and done by 2:30pm.  That is some efficient shooting and some hard-working shooters. Thanks to everyone who worked hard to help set up, run the match, reset stages between shooters and tear down!

It was great to see everyone come out and shoot---especially so many new shooters!

Steel results are up! Sorry for the delay, but manual entering of 72 people, times 6 stages, times 5 runs each takes a long time to enter, 2160 entries. Plus we had 31 shooters who were not in my database. Had to enter all new people, divisions, etc. I type slow! Also the EZSteel program from steel challenge is not very user friendly.
