Picked up a PS3 Eye

Guy was selling one on craigslist ... turns out he had two, picked'em both up for $30 total.

Grabbed one for work, and one to toy with.

These things are a USB webcam, capable of 320x240 at 180fps (or 640x480x75fps).

Works pretty good under Windows Vista 64bit.  Haven't tried 7 32bit nor 7 64bit.  Under OSX it appears to function as a regular webcam (640x480x30fps).  Haven't tried linux.

I'll be taking it to the range with netbook to see what it thinks of a semi auto pistol firing.

Being that it's somewhat made for the PS3 Move stuff, it's focal length tends to be a little farther than I'd prefer.

Anyone got any ideas for how this thing might be useful for moderately high capture rates ?
