Figured I'd give Sig a try this time

I had an extra TLR-1 laying around, so I needed something to put it on. So, I picked up a Sig P226 Elite. It has everything I was looking for...High capacity (came with three 18 round mags), a rail, and 9mm. I only wanted it for home defense, so the size/bulk is not a concern. I have my 1911's for EDC. Crappy cell phone pic below...(I know, too much oil. It was wiped down after I saw how bad the pic was).

It is highly likely the above post may offend you. I'm fine with that.

Sig's shoot like butter. The heavy slide taking up that recoil... mmm yummy.
I swapped out the rose wood handles on my p229 equinox for some hogue, but that's cause mine's a carry gun
.
If you haven't had a chance to shoot a Sig, find a buddy that has one or a range that has one to rent. You'll enjoy it

If you don't want to bang up those pretty wood grips, I might have a set of somewhat-worn P226 polymer grips laying around. If you're interested, let me know and I'll look through the parts bin.
Nice looking SIG, BTW.

Love those grips.
I have about 5 or 6 unused scopes in the closet that need something under them...you just gave me a little extra push. (now to get the wife on board)
