« on: August 15, 2015, 04:46:59 PM »
Does anyone have experience with the EntirelyCrimson Deluxe DIY Bullet Feeder Kit?

http://entirelycrimson.com/collator.html

Wondering how good of a value this would be?

No but I ran across them last week and i am curious about it also.

This winter I was planing on building my own using a 5gal bucket and play wood. I alr3ady have a small 24v dc motor and contoller from my annealer project I haven't finished and have decided to try something different on. It looks pretty simple and I wonder how much the parts could cost if you went with the basic kit vs the complete. I imagine all of these are cheap Chinese made items that can be bought for a few dollars on eBay but you have to wait 3 weeks to get them.

What I like about it is it comes with all the plates for 9mm 40 and 45. Where I am going to have to custom make plates for each caliber.

I have been searching for reviews on them, but I cannot find anything. I think the company just started selling them a few months ago.

Ar15..com has a couple of threads started but no feedback that I have found. From the video it looks pretty simple from the video. Everyone keeps saying it's a rip off of the Mr bullet feeder

I read that too. I suppose the guy could be looking at a lawsuit, but then again, how different are all the bullet feeders out there? Someone also made a good argument that Mr. Bullet Feeder was not the first bullet collator.

I've been thinking about building my own too, but this sure looks a lot easier.

Was he talking about the Version 2 only? At least that was one way it could be interpreted.

The V2 DIY Collator Kits are available but in limited quantity. These 20 kits will be the last for a while, possibly the last ever.

Maybe I took it as it was all finished since the only difference between v1 and v2 is the bullet nose up vs down. If he is still doing V1 people will be happy.

I think he was walking a line on patent infringements with other major companies. Time will tell.

Did you get yours?

A couple notes I have on it if he continues to sell.

Buy the complete kit. Even with the parts i had it was kind of a pain. Didn't help with the discontent between how I was going to do it and how it got done.

It's smaller than what I was expecting. Even based on the video I didn't get a good visual. It will need to be filled often maybe a hundred bullets at a time?

I really was the 223 and 762 feeder plates!

I did get mine. It is still in the box though. I got the complete kit with the proximity sensor.
