Who carries a 25 auto as a security guard?  Admittedly anti-gunners are stupid, but DAM!

Guys who have bogus "security guard" credentials so they can carry the guns they want to deny to everyone else, that's who.  No way is he a real security guard.

Hypocrisy......

You expected something else?

Consider the source.... it's Chicago, and it's all about who you know....

I heard it in Latin- "Lex bovis, non Jovis."- Laws (are for) cattle, not Gods.
The Right to Keep and BEAR Arms is enshrined explicitly in both our State and Federal Constitutions, yet most of us are afraid to actually excercise that Right, for very good reason: there is a good chance of being arrested........ and  THAT is a damned shame.  III.

The Chicago  Tribune's article on the event: http://articles.chicagotribune.com/2012-12-06/news/chi-state-senator-charged-with-trying-to-board-plane-with-weapon-20121205_1_trotter-security-checkpoint-security-guard
mentions his job as a security guard, his wife, his kids and his years of service to the people of Illinois.  But, nowhere does it mention his stand on "assault" weapons.   It states that his excuse was:
"According to prosecutors and court records, Trotter told police he got off work as a security guard early Wednesday and forgot that his gun was in a zipped-up side pocket of his garment bag, along with a magazine containing six live rounds."

The  impression that is left is that the .25 Beretta was the weapon he used on  the job  and that he forgot that he had put it in a side pocket of his carry on bag.    I've seen ballistic results of .22 caliber bullets bouncing off the skull and not incapacitating an individual.   Anyone claiming that a .25 caliber pocket pistol is a used as a security weapon either isn't a real security guard or the company he works for has idiots in charge of security.

The CBS local  affiliate reports:

"Trotter, 62, has been a state senator since 1993. Before that, he was a state representative from 1988 to 1993. During his time in the legislature, he has regularly been an anti-gun vote, and has opposed legislation that would allow for concealed carry in Illinois."

Cries of hypocrisy are spot on.
