13yo daughter first time shooting
« on: December 28, 2012, 10:31:18 AM »
My daughter wanted to shoot my .40, so I let her.  :)

First couple shots I just put one round in the magazine expecting my gun to go flying, but she did really well for the first time out.

That's so much fun... my 6 and 8 year olds have both shot my 9mm with a single-round magazine; they both handled it fairly well. A couple more years and they'll be speed shooting faster than me. :)

That's awesome!  The 40 can be pretty snappy and she is handling it just fine.  Accurate too.

That is great! .40 can be a handful, she handled it very well! I find that girls are just naturally better shooters than boys - with firearms and bows. She is well on her way to being a great shooter!

As a side note - I can't stop drooling at all that brass piled up! I wish TBH would let me do range cleanup for them!

Keep that video to show to any future possible suitors. ;)

When my daughter brings home a young man, I just ask if he wants to see a picture of the last guy my daughter dated.  Then I show them this...
