LOL. Single-shot, bolt-action rifles are all the rage. Bring one of those. That way I'll have a chance of beating at least one person.  :P

JTH:
Just a comments for folks planning on bring along .22 rifles to shoot---you are going to need to bring a bag/case for them to use between shooting stages.  We don't have a long-gun rack on every stage, so you'll need something to bag them with when you are done shooting a stage, so that you don't have to hold them vertically the entire time as you wait to shoot the next stage.  :)

Remember---rifles should have magazine well empty and chamber locked open between stages.  Chamber flags are optional, but strongly preferred.  (Especially if your rifle has a tendency to close the chamber if it gets bounced around in the bag or case.)

See you on Sunday!

jonm:
I will be there with my .22 AR. Hopefully it ends before 2 because I have football to watch.

JTH:
Anyone else coming out with their .22 AR?

I keep thinking I'm going to just buy a dedicated .22 AR instead of a conversion kit/upper.  Haven't done it yet, but they look like a ton of fun---and it would be a BLAST to shoot it in a Steel Challenge match.

(If I get to shoot SC in Rimfire Rifle division this year, I'll be using a Ruger 10/22 with a light/short barrel and a red dot, not an AR.)

jonm:
I love my dedicated upper. I have shot many a S&W 15-22 and it is also a great gun. I just prefer the versatility of a lower I can use on other guns. Less triggers and stocks to buy. The mags are normally cheaper than the 15-22 as well.
