I've always wanted a DeLisle.  One of the coolest guns of WWII.  There was another company making replicas a while back but I think they were forced to stop by the ATF for some technicality, IIRC.

Never deal with this company, they are a total ripoff.  Filed bankruptcy before and never delivered product or returned monies.

What round does that gun fire?   It would need to shoot sub sonic to be effective.

On a $2500 purchase, it'd be understandable to be weary.

Like DH said, be very wary of dealing with VA.

It's not just the past bankruptcy, but significant quality issues as well. http://www.silencertalk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=80434&hilit=valkyrie

If you want a De Lisle repro, Special Interest Arms seems to be the safer option.

Seems like a good guy. I was emailing him, trying to get a version in 458Socom, or 45/70 for shooting 500gr subsonic. Have been having a hell of a time with determining proper twist, or what the issue is with the .458s in a short barrel having horrible accuracy when combined with a suppressor. He's experienced problems with short 45/70s and I've had issues with short 458 Socoms. Then Panic II set in, and the project has been shelved.

The original design 45ACP would be sweet, but not terribly useful. I still want a compact package to sling the 500gr 458s since subsonic 500gr still meets NE regs on whitetail hunting.

Hmm...Special Interest Arms is the one that I was thinking had to stop production.  Not because of quality or anything shady, but because of the ATF giving them the runaround.  I must be thinking of someone else.  I've heard good things about their work.
